Right, then...
So, getting more in to woodworking this year. I broke down and got a table saw - used Ryobi - to start out with. Not bad, but had to spend a lot of time squaring the fence, and I could never get the blade completely square. This became evident when I was building a storage cabinet for the hallway earlier this month. Further, during that project, I noted that the blade was not holding position very well - either on the bevel or the height. So, I got me one of these:
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
DeWalt 7491X. 10" 15Amp, 32.5" rip capacity (right), and I think 12" or something Left. Can take a 13/16" Dado stack.
Bought it...not new, but not used. The guy that I got it from bought it for a portable workbench he was building...but the design required a smaller saw. He got this online, so the shipping costs to send it back would be ginormous, so I picked it up for $575 (so mainly $25 off and no tax).
I’ll spend a couple of hours getting it set up and squared, but this is gonna be sweet!

Man, I cannot believe how shitty some of the tools out there are. Hoping you got a good one!

That should be a really nice saw. I have the OG DeWalt table saw. Only a 25" ripping capacity. The rack and pinion system is great. I think you'll be really happy with it.

That’s a sweet looking tablesaw!

I think I’ve got a similar but older model - the DWE7480. It’s been decent. I haven’t used it a ton (quite noisy and kicks up a lot of dust. If I run it and the shop vac at the same time, it often trips the breaker). I’ll definitely be using it more in the coming months (building a dresser).
Welcome to the woodworking club!

have yet to see one at any level where the fence is really reliable to always be square, been using these since the 60's and almost always have to bump it a little

My skil contractors saw has gears on both sides for the fence and does a really good job staying square, but I still check every time

I used a HF table saw for some laminate flooring, right up until the fence fell out of square and hit me on the solar plexus with a chunk of flooring.
Went back to the store the next day
